Walnut shells are sourced from a stunning mature tree here in Greytown. We have wool stuffing and a beautiful range of 100% cotton fabrics to select from. The natural lanolin in wool helps to keep your pins & needles sharp & rust free. The workshop utilises traditional hand-sewing methods, is machine-free, and suitable for any level of experience. Just bring your creativity!

With local designer Lorraine Hall as your guide, you’ll spend a cozy evening learning how to create your own vintage button doll. Everything is provided, including a lovely range of buttons and natural fabrics to choose from. The workshop utilises traditional hand-sewing methods and is machine-free. Some basic sewing experience is needed – so bring your love for crafting!
You’ll leave with one of your own hand-made button dolls to cherish, new skills, and new friends!

Bookings for each workshop close on the Monday before their respective dates.
Participants must be over 16 years old.
Both workshops are limited to 6 participants. For the workshop to take place there must be a minimum of 5 participants.
If the workshop is cancelled for any reason (including if there are not enough participants) we will contact you and provide a refund.
If the Greytown Winter Festival is postponed, workshops will take place on the following dates instead -
