As part of the Greytown International Cocktail Festival, Hall is hosting a Sip & Style.

This intimate workshop will introduce you to the traditional Japanese hand-sewing art of Sashiko, known for its simple patterns and meditative stitching. Originally developed as a way to repair and reinforce fabric, Sashiko is also celebrated as way to decorate textiles in a beautiful way.
Led by Lorraine from Hall and hosted in the warm, welcoming setting of Cuckoo, you’ll enjoy a delightful afternoon tea as you craft — complete with cake, a hot drink, plus a glass of wine or juice.
Following the workshop, treat yourself to an exclusive shopping experience at Hall Concept Store. This is a perfect opportunity to explore beautifully curated homewares and slow fashion with a complimentary glass of bubbly.
The workshop utilises traditional hand-sewing methods and is machine-free. Basic sewing experience will be helpful — how to thread a needle, etc.

Handcraft two of your own vintage-style walnut pincushions - all natural, eco-friendly, and a lovely addition to your sewing kit. Walnut shells are sourced from a local tree, with a beautiful range of cotton fabrics to select from and wool stuffing. The natural lanolin in wool helps to keep your pins & needles sharp and rust free.

Bookings for workshops close on the Monday before their respective dates.
Participants must be over 16 years old.
For the workshop to take place there must be a minimum number of participants.
If the workshop is cancelled for any reason (including if there are not enough participants) we will contact you and provide a refund.
